Overview

Reporting to the Human Resources leadership team and with limited direction, the Human Resources Recruiter will be responsible for the full-cycle recruitment process in a fast paced work environment. 

 

The Recruiter will partner with hiring managers to determine staffing needs while ensuring compliance with all federal/regulations and laws, including affirmative action plan compliance.  Will use traditional and nontraditional resources, such as sourcing, career fairs, job fairs, community network events, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates.

 

Reviews applications and refers qualified applicants to supervisors as well as schedules interviews and sets up travel. Checks references and coordinates physicals, background checks and drug screens.  Delivers offer to candidates and communicates important employment information such as benefits, physical information and orientation.  Manages and documents current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and manages the retention and filing of applications and interview notes, and perform all other related duties and tasks as required or assigned.

Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent in addition to educational experience past high school, and 4+ years of directly-related recruiting experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skill and abilities have been attained. Previous experience recruiting in biomedical research preferred. 

 

Must have demonstrated experience recruiting for medium-to-large size employee populations and, a fundamental understanding of applicable federal/state employment laws and recruiting best practices. 

 

Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management and candidates.  

 

Requires strong analytical, time management, and organizational skills; professional-level customer service and communication skills; and the ability to maintain the strictest confidentiality with sensitive information.  Demonstrated ability in managing a wide variety of tasks simultaneously while meeting multiple deadlines is required as well as strong attention to detail.   Must have professional-level Microsoft Office skills and the ability to learn department-specific programs as required.

 

Previous demonstrated experience recruiting in an affirmative action environment strongly preferred

 

Relocation may be offered for this position.

 

This position requires a post-offer credit check.

Preferred/Additional Qualifications

Knowledge of immigration procedure and visa sponsorship is preferred.

Knowledge of applicant tracking systems. 

Physical Requirements

Work is performed in an office environment.  Will operate standard office equipment and will frequently stand, walk, sit, perform desk-based computer tasks, use a telephone, perform repetitive motions and occasionally lift objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.

Salary
