Lovelace Biomedical Research Institute is looking for a full-time Buyer.  Under general supervision, the Buyer will be responsible for the complete cycle of procurement transactions from initiating, reviewing and coordinating purchase requests, requests for quotes, bids, proposals and orders. The Buyer will be responsible for preparing supporting procurement documentation to comply with goals and terms of Small Business Subcontracting Plans, when required. A Research Assistant I position is currently available in Dr. Vakhtin's laboratory at The Mind Research Network. The Research Assistant will work on studies examining various neurocognitive conditions, utilizing neuroimaging and neurocognitive assessment methods. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 1) study participant recruitment, scheduling, and follow-ups 2) study data collection, entry, and curation, as well as 3) careful development of and adherence to study regulatory and safety procedures. These responsibilities involve working in the MRI environment as well as collection of biological samples (e. g. blood).

Under general direction, the Sr. Research Technologist in Histology will work with animal tissues, including tissue grossing/trimming, embedding, sectioning, automated and manual staining and other duties associated with production of high-quality microscope slides (including finding challenging targets in certain tissues/organs).  Additional duties include laboratory equipment maintenance and preparing solutions.  Work may also include administrative and/or lab management tasks and cross training with other institute pathology laboratories.
